Carnoustie Shorts

Pat Sawers - the 8th in CCDT's Carnoustie Shorts series introducing local people doing extraordinary things - here we meet Pat, Chairman of Carnoustie Golf Links.

In 2014 Pat Sawers was the first woman to be elected Chairman for Carnoustie Golf Links - a position she still holds today "I'm simply overjoyed to represent Carnoustie as Chairman.  The Links if in my blood, has been a significant part of my family's life and is something I'm extremely proud to be associated with" said Pat.

The Links Management Committee has managed the golf courses at Carnoustie since 1901, aside from a brief 12 year period between 1967 and 1979 during which Carnoustie Town Council were accountable.

Produced by Carnoustie Community Development Trust in collaboration with Dylan Drummond of Son of the Sea the interviews paint a portrait of each person as if you've been invited into their home to get to know them over a cup of tea – informal, conversational, warm, authentic, natural.

CCDT wish to thanks the sponsors whose donations have made this project possible - Angus Council and Carnoustie Golf Links.
